Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and friendly Part-Time Front Office Assistant to join our school's administrative team. This role is essential in ensuring smooth front office operations, including visitor management, student check-ins/check-outs, and attendance follow-up. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, excellent communication abilities, and proficiency in using school management systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Visitor Management: Greet all visitors, ensure proper check-in procedures (e.g., signing in, verifying IDs), and manage visitor clearance using the Raptor system. Escalate concerns to building leadership when necessary.
  • Student Check-In/Out:
    • Check in late students and issue tardy slips.
    • Check out students with parents, verifying IDs and permissions in PowerSchool.
  • Attendance Management: Collaborate with the attendance team to:
    • Call families to follow up on student absences.
    • Log attendance details in PowerSchool and Kickboard.
  • Administrative Support:
    • Assist with printing and clerical tasks, including making copies and printing report cards/progress reports.
    • Utilize PowerSchool to retrieve and update student/family information.
    • Help families access the parent portal and update their contact details.
  • Other Duties: Perform additional tasks as assigned to support the school’s administrative needs.

Requirements:

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience:
    • Experience in a school office or similar environment is preferred.
    • Proficiency in using PowerSchool, Kickboard, or similar school management systems is a plus.
  • Skills:
    • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
    • Customer service-oriented mindset with a professional demeanor.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
    • Ability to multitask and manage time effectively.

Compensation:
Base Salary:  $16.50 per hour, overtime eligible
